Li Xuelian and her husband conspire to get a fake divorce in order to receive an apartment from the government reserved for single people. However, things do not go according to plan for Li when six months later her husband remarries to a different woman. FENG XIAOGANG

Born in Beijing in 1958. Feng has built a reputation of one of China’s most commercially successful film directors with genre movies like A World Without Thieves (2004), The Banquet (2006), Assembly (2007), If You Are the One (2008), Aftershock (2010). In total, Feng has directed 16 films since the 1990s. He has won a number of awards, both mainstream and at international film festivals.
