A mysterious creature travels from one life to another. Denis Lavant’s character reincarnates as a man, a woman, a youngster, a dying man. He may be a pauper or an incredibly rich man, he may be a swindler or a noble family man. The main character will be tossed about between other people’s lives, he will embrace other people’s wives and children, kill other people’s enemies. But he is incredibly lonely.
