Temporarily appointed as Governor of the Ivanovo Region.

Pavel Konkov was born in Ivanovo in 1958. He graduated from the Moscow State Textile University with honors, studied in the Stockholm School of Economics, made a postgraduate course. In 1984 he came back to Ivanovo. Working at the Ivanovo Textile Engineering Plant he made his way up from a foreman to the plant manager. Since 1996 he has worked in business.

In 2000 Konkov was elected member of the Ivanovo Region Legislative Assembly; in 2003-2004 he became the Legislative Assembly Chairman.

Since 2004 he has been Head of the Ivanovo Textile Union.

In 2008 Pavel Konkov was appointed the first deputy of the Ivanovo Government Chairman and was in charge of the economy of the Region.

In October 2013, President of the Russian Federation appointed Pavel Konkov as acting Governor of the Ivanovo Region.

Pavel Konkov is deputy of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Committee for Textile and Light Industry. Chairman of the board of trustees for the Shuisky Children's Home. In 2004 Konkov was decorated with the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland".
