A tragicomic story about a man between death and life, between fiction and reality, about his last journey. The past and the present, vanished and existed, alive and dead, funny and sorrowful are mixed up in this journey. It is a journey of a man whose dreams and desires conceal the real state of things. His simple and naïve adventures are always nearby and it is not necessary to go far to find them.
VALERY PENDRAKOVSKY
Born in 1951 in Batumi. In 1985 he graduated from the film directing department of VGIK, class of A. Alov and V. Naumov. Film director, scriptwriter, producer. In 1999–2005 – general manager of the Yalta Film Studio. Now – film director at Mosfilm Studio, head of the production centre “Running on the Waves”, general producer of the film company “ProCenter”. Merited Art Worker of Russia. Award-winner of national and international film festivals. His filmography includes: “I Can’t” (1984, short), “Live for Ages – Love for Ages” (1985, short), “Somewhere in the Town, at the Outskirts” (1988), “Suicide” (1990), “A Faithful Wife” (1992), “I'm Free, I Belong to Nobody” (1994), “I Forgive All My Debtors” (1998), “Two Pals” (2000), “Running on the Waves” (2006), “Full Breath” (2007), “A Legend about Frezi Grant, Running on the Waves” (2007, TV series), “Only Not Now” (2010).
