Author Ilya Korobkov
The artist brings up the problem of historical memory, turning to the images of people recorded by the photo camera in the 20s and 30s of the past century. Those are people whose life was dedicated to the building of new society, whose work formed the foundation for the well-being of the present generation. Using the language of media performance the author invites them on a symbolic excursion through the streets of Moscow.
ILYA KOROBKOV
Born in 1970. Video artist, teaches at the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and multimedia. Participated in numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Studies the system of social relations using the means of video technology. These means themselves are critically reevaluated in the course of the study. He experiments with the form and language of video imagery in an attempt to create a form of the work of video art which would correspond to its content.
