ALEXEI UCHITEL

Director, producer. Born in 1951 in Leningrad. Graduated from the cinematography department of VGIK (1975). Worked as film director and director of photography at the Leningrad Studio of Documentary Films. Art director and general manager of the Rock Studio. President of the international film festival of documentary, shorts and animation “Message to Man” in St. Petersburg. Winner of national and international film festivals. His director’s filmography includes “Rock” (1988., doc.), “The Bypass Canal” (1991, doc.), “Butterfly” (1993, doc.), “Giselle’s Mania” (1995), “His Wife’s Diary” (2000), “The Stroll” (2003), “Dreaming of Space” (2005), “The Captive” (2008), “The Edge” (2010), etc.
