Actor.

Born in 1967 in Moldavia, USSR. In 1993 graduated form the Tbilisi Theatre Institute (class of N.Lordkipanidze) as an actor, later from the Bucharest Academy of Theatre and Cinema as a theatre director. Since 1993 lives in Romania. In 1994 he appeared in the debut short by the now world famous Romanian director Cristian Mungiu. Since then he played more than a dozen parts in his movies, two of which – “West” and “Beyond the Hills” – participated in the Cannes International Film Festival. As a film actor he worked in Germany and Ireland, participated in various international theatre productions and festivals in France, England, USA, Austria, Italy and Japan.
