Alexei lives in a small village in the Moscow area. His days pass with monotonous dialogues with his few friends and with work. Every day he goes to Moscow on his old motorcycle; there he works as delivery guy for pizzas. According to the doctors’ diagnosis, Alexei’s father is terminally ill. The only hope is an urgent and expensive operation in Germany. Trying to find help from charities, Alexei is only offered a collection of money on an open account, but the required sum will be available only in a few years. However, suddenly he gets the opportunity to earn the money needed to save his father. But is he ready to commit a crime for the sake of this money?
ANDREI STEMPKOVSKY
Born in 1975 in Vilnius, USSR. Graduated from the Finance Academy of the Government of Russia (1999) and from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors (2008, class of P.Todorovsky). Worked as journalist and photographer in a number of Moscow editions. Participant of photo exhibition in Russia and Europe. Author of numerous shorts. Prizewinner of national and international competitions of shorts. His full-length debut “Reverse Motion” (2010) received a prizes at the festivals “Kinotavr” and “Zerkalo” in Russia and won awards in Montreal, Angers and Estoril. His new movie “The Delivery Guy” premiered at the Rotterdam IFF.
