A large black jeep is rushing along a deserted summer road. Bandit, his friend Matvey with his old father, Musician and a beautiful girl sit in it. They are looking for a Bell Tower of Happiness, which they say is situated somewhere between St. Petersburg and Uglich, close to inactive atomic power station. The Bell Tower seize people, but not all of them. Each passenger of the big car believes it will choose him.

Born in Sverdlovsk, USSR (now – Yekaterinburg). Graduated from the translation department of Gorky Pedagogical Institute (1981), and from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters & Film Directors (1990, experimental course of Auteur Cinema). Prize-winner of international and national film festivals, winner of professional film awards.
